Our client is a large Fortune 50 energy company seeking a Commercial and Real Estate Paralegal in either Chicago, IL or Louisville, KY. You’ll focus on commercial real estate matters for new store development and property management within the client’s Retail Operating Organization (ROO). There may also be opportunities to support other business segments as well. The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in commercial real estate.
Some key responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate contracts, conducting legal due diligence, including title report analysis, and managing real estate transaction documentation and closings. Additionally, the role will assist with licensing for store operations, maintaining real estate files, handling information requests, and providing general litigation support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree
- Certified Paralegal
- 5 or more years legal experience in assisting with commercial real estate transactions
- KY or IL notary license, preferred
