A financial services company is looking for a temporary Paralegal II (Intermediate) to join their team. Ideally, this person has experience in working with real estate, collateral, and/or regulatory backgrounds. It’s also important for this person to work independently and critically analyze many different transactions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Order flood determinations for new loan requests and handling of existing loan portfolio to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Analyze existing flood determinations and supporting documentation on file to determine necessity of new flood determination ordered vs use of existing flood determination.
- Accurately utilize entity documentation for flood determination orders and completion of all requests.
- Resolve issues for the most complex documentation by providing appropriate instructions to all levels of bank personnel on flood specified loans.
- Enter all data into team tracking database using tools such as SharePoint and other CMA loan systems. Data is used to confirm corporate compliance with regulations.
- Prepare flood worksheet to ensure loan is compliant and appropriate flood insurance has been obtained.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience analyzing and preparing documentation, and handling regulatory matters.
- 2+ years’ experience handling flood regulatory activities.
- Firm attention to detail.
- Must possess business acumen and apply critical thinking and analysis.
- Keen interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Tech savvy, with proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and PDF.
- Proven ability to be resourceful, exercise initiative and sound judgment.
