FERC Regulatory Senior Counsel

Gibson Arnold & Associates is seeking an attorney with 6+ years of experience to join a company in Houston, TX as a FERC Regulatory Senior Counsel. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for:

• Providing Legal counsel, advice, and support to midstream business units subject to FERC regulation, particularly on issues where FERC regulation impacts commercial strategy.
• Delivering advice and training to midstream and commercial business units to ensure compliance with FERC Standards of Conduct.
• Advising on tariff filings and rate cases, including on carrier-side and shipper-side matters.
• Leading audit, enforcement, compliance, and investigative matters.
• Partnering with business units on PHMSA compliance issues and investigations.
• Driving and recommending course of action to to the company’s Midstream Leadership.
• Providing regulatory guidance, support, and counsel for expanding global Commercial Trading operations.
• Managing outside counsel resources effectively and efficiently.
• Working collaboratively with Government Affairs and various business units on public policy issues and rulemakings.
• Providing general Legal support to to the company’s Corporate Compliance function.
