Gibson Arnold & Associates is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of experience to join a firm in New York, NY as a Foreclosure Associate. The ideal candidate for this position will be expected to:
- Manage residential and/or commercial foreclosure matters from referral through final disposition, including judgment and sale;
- Draft, review, and file foreclosure pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, judgments, and related litigation documents;
- Appear in court for hearings, motions, mediations, and conferences, as required by jurisdiction;
- Advise clients on state-specific foreclosure laws, loss mitigation requirements, bankruptcy impacts, and regulatory considerations;
- Handle contested foreclosure matters, including responses to borrower defenses, motions to dismiss, and discovery;
- Coordinate with clients, title companies, trustees, referees, sheriffs, and opposing counsel to ensure timely resolution of matters;
- Supervise junior associates, paralegals, and support staff and review work product for accuracy and compliance;
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, servicing standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations;
- Provide practical, risk‑based advice to clients on foreclosure strategy, timelines, and alternatives.
