Gibson Arnold & Associates is seeking a paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join a company in Houston, TX part-time. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Performing client due diligence, including collecting and verifying identification documents, reviewing corporate structures and beneficial ownership, and assessing risk levels based on client profiles;
- Keeping up with changing compliance requirements and updating internal procedures accordingly;
- Maintaining organized records of client verification and risk assessments;
- Preparing reports for internal audits or regulatory reviews;
- Acting as liaison between clients, attorneys, and compliance officers;
- Coordinating with external agencies or departments for additional verification when needed;
- Assisting attorneys with research related to KYC regulations and enforcement actions;
- Drafting memos or summaries regarding client risk or compliance status.
