Gibson Arnold & Associates is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of experience to join a firm in New York, NY as a Real Estate Transactions Associate. The ideal candidate for this position will be expected to:
- Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and development matters;
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, easements, development agreements, and related ancillary documents;
- Advise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, closing mechanics, and post‑closing obligations;
- Coordinate and manage due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning and land use matters (in coordination with specialists), and environmental issues;
- Work closely with attorneys in related practice areas (finance, tax, environmental, corporate, construction, and land use) to deliver comprehensive transactional advice;
- Take an active role in transaction management, including supervising junior associates and liaising with clients, lenders, opposing counsel, and third‑party consultants;
- Provide practical, business‑oriented guidance to clients throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.
