Gibson Arnold & Associates is seeking an attorney with 6+ years of experience to join a company in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for:
- Leading legal support for complex commercial and corporate transactions, including joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and midstream contracts;
- Providing expert legal guidance to major business units, partnering with management and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and complex regulations;
- Leading the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements for midstream projects, including transportation, terminal storage agreements, and joint ventures;
- Advising on deal structuring, leading negotiations, and managing outside counsel on all phases of M&A activities;
- Developing innovative solutions to legal challenges and offering authoritative advice that shapes business decisions, including risk management;
- Building trusted relationships with internal clients, acting as a business partner to deliver high-impact legal services and recommendations that drive performance;
- Integrating diverse information sources and maintaining deep knowledge of industry trends to develop strategies for ambiguous and novel legal issues;
- Communicating complex concepts clearly to varied audiences, supporting quality assurance efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement across legal and business processes;
- Helping the organization navigate change, optimize work practices, and maintain compliance, while fostering collaboration and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
