“My mother passed away,
I saw her yesterday,
She looked at me as if to say,
Darling, it will be okay.” (SD)
In Memoriam of Vivian R. Delmonico-October 5, 1926 – February 10, 2017
Scott Delmonico is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer. With more than 38 years of financial and operations expertise, he provides strategic financial guidance, business development initiatives and day-to-day management operations for Gibson Arnold & Associates. His number one priority is to provide exceptional service to law firms, corporate legal departments and candidates searching for new talent and career opportunities.
Scott supervises the company’s in-house counsel, legal recruiters, administrative staff and contract professionals. He oversees the company’s regional offices and e-Discovery review facilities in Denver, Golden and Houston. He works closely with the company’s accountants, outside counsel and professional management team on policies and procedures ensuring good business practices are followed. Scott prepares and maintains company financial reports, tax filings, sales goals and expense budgets. He negotiates all leases, contracts and banking relations while keeping a close eye on future business expansion options.
He joined his wife, Melinda, at Gibson Arnold & Associates in 1995, and became an equity partner in 2004. Prior to that, Scott had a long career spanning over twenty years in financial operations at three Denver law firms. He holds an MBA degree in Finance and Accounting from Regis University and an undergraduate degree in History, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Denver.
Scott enjoys reading the local newspapers, working on home fix-it projects, listening to music, writing poetry, playing the piano (kind of), dining out with good friends and musing political issues of the day. As a 3rd generation Coloradan, Scott spends a lot of his spare time walking outdoors, hiking trails, watching sunrises, taking in and being part of Colorado’s most serene wilderness areas. It’s especially meaningful when his wife, three sons and closest friends are along for the adventure. He does not, however, find it necessary to climb any of Colorado’s 53 fourteeners to prove who he is or to make a point as some may find intrinsic. A true native at heart, his strength, character and innate style is rooted deeply with respect for others, truth over falsehoods, authenticity and absolute fairness to all. Values learned at an early age and tested frequently through his life’s journey and personal experiences.
Life is a concert!
